He was bought by Rajasthan Royals for 11.50 crore in IPL 11 auction.  Jaydev was recognized as more expensive in comparison to the star player Trent Boult. He was the second highest wicket-taker in the last IPL season while representing Rising Pune Supergiants. He also claimed about 24 wickets in 12 games with a strike rate of 11.4.
