15 Bollywood Blockbusters that Topped the Bollywood Chart

Bollywood Blockbusters always make it to the top list, but there are some blockbusters which had broken all the records on the screen. Here is the list of top 15 movies which ranked amongst the top movies on screen and filled the bag of the Bollywood directors with hefty amounts:

15. Kaho Na Pyaar Hai

Released in the year 2000, the debut film of Hrithik and Amisha, Sizzled the movie industry. There were girls who went to the theater just to see Hrithik. The total movie tickets sold was nearly 3 crore and six lakhs.

14. Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum

This movie from the production house of Karan Johar which had melted hearts topped the chart. The total score of this movie is 3 crores and 13 lakhs.

13. 3 Idiots

The movie on the concept of learning for the sake of knowledge not to obtain grade is something which brought an audience to the theater. 3, 17, 35,000.

12. Sultan

The sports oriented movie starring Anushka and Salman achieved a new milestone by gathering more than 3 crores 23 lakh fans from all over to the world.

11. PK

Amir and Anushka starrer this movie which released in the year 2015 on the concept of an alien landing on the earth and describing various situations which he faces got almost 3,50,76,000 people in the theater.

10. Bajrangi Bhaijaan

The story of a dumb girl who crosses the border and faces various challenges traveling back to her country is the theme of the story which managed to get more than 3.5 crore people to the theater.

9. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

The story which rocked the world and created a vague sensation of a white suit with a lehariya dupatta was this movie which brought almost 3.6 crore people to the theater.

8. Dangal

The epic wrestling movie which clearly was declared successful even in China was amongst the highest scorer. It managed nearly 3.7 crore audience to the theater.

7. Border

A movie based on the 1962 India/Pak war, it was the movie which ruled the theater for more than 25 weeks and collected nice revenue. This movie managed to get more than 3.7 crore people to the theaters.

6. Raja Hindustani

The movie released in the year 1996, made a sensation on the screen More than 4.10 lac people went to a theater in order to watch the movie.

5. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge

DDLJ as it was called, scored 4,80,89,000 at the box office and managed more than 400 weeks on the silver screen.

4. Gadar: Ek Prem Katha

Gadar was a romantic movie though the director of the movie managed to gather the audience attracted by the theme of getting separated during the division of the country and then coming along after lots of struggle. The movie managed nearly 5,09,54,000 people in the theaters coming off with the bad phase of a silver screen.

3. Bahubali 2: The Conclusion (Hindi)

The recently released Bahubali : the conclusion grabbed more than 5.5 crore audiences to the theater with the tagline of “Katappa ne Baahubali ko kyu Mara”.  It’s been more than 10 weeks and a movie is still making collections on the screen.

2. Sholay

The famous Basanti, Veeru love story sizzles the theater even today. The total tickets sold for this movie till date is nearly 5.6 crores. People still go to a theater to see the movie and enjoy it with the family.

1.Hum Aapke Hain Koun!

The Didi Tera Deewana epic was showcased in this movie. The first movie from Rajshri production managed to get 7,39,67,000 people to the theater.
