The newest addition to the telecom industry, Reliance Jio has been creating a buzz in the sector for a while now. Mr. Mukesh Ambani said Jio will offer free voice calls on every network across the Country. While making a statement on Reliance Jio’s tariff plan, Mukesh Ambani declared a ‘free welcome offer’ for all its customers from 5th September till 31st December 2016. According to the tariff plan of the soon-to-go-public network, a customer will require to pay Rs 50 for 1 GB of 4G internet data. This is by far the lowest in the world. Reliance Jio’s price starts at as low as Rs 19 per day and gradually goes up to Rs. 4,999.00 per month which offers 75 GB of internet data.

On Thursday, 3rd September 2016, Mukesh Ambani addressed Annual General Meeting (AGM) and made several crucial announcements regarding the company’s 4G services in India. He awed the nation when he announced that no Reliance Jio customers will ever have to pay for voice calls ever and roaming charges within India has also been curved.
Reliance Jio 4G data services are free for users till 31st December 2016 in India. The company will start rolling out e-KYC solution from 5th September. This e-KYC process will make it even easier for users to get hold of a Reliance Jio SIM card, which is offered for free, using their Aadhar card.
Reliance Jio 4G is currently in its beta phase. However, the company claims to have more than 1.5 million users on the network already. The Preview offer was restricted to Lyf handsets earlier, but is now open to most smartphone brands. Lyf 4G-enabled smartphones supported by Reliance starts at Rs 2,999.00. Reliance JioFi hotspot devices, which support 10 devices simultaneously, is now cheaper by Rs 900.00.
The Perks of Reliance Jio
Reliance Jio customers will have to pay for the data plans only since, both local as well STD voice calls are free, even during roaming. The network is offering unlimited 4G LTE data at night with all plans, between 2 at night and 5 in the morning.
The data plans of the network start at Rs 19.00 for 100MB 4G LTE data during day and unlimited 4G data at night. The one-day validity plan also brings 200 MB of free WiFi data, 100 SMS along with free subscription of Jio Apps. The most expensive plan costs Rs 4,999.00 which offers 75GB free LTE data, plus unlimited free 4G data at night and 150 GB free WiFi data.
Reliance Jio data plans will start for as low as 5p per MB adding up to Rs 50.00 for 1 GB, a fraction of the cheapest data plan in the Country at the moment. The network will offer data packs ranging from Small (S) to XXXL.
The customers have high hopes from the network. The ones who have been using the network in the beta phase came up with very good feedback.
